There should be a Montreal specific badge for Poutine on Foursquare methinks… (posted from @ La Banquise) – badges API calls is what we really want, you know, to grow Foursquare as a game platform, it would open worlds of possibility (and realize the potential I tought Akoha would have, maybe they will get there someday). Just sayin, since they are asking for comments on V2.
Submitted “Location/North” as a panel suggestion for #NXNEi – please vote/comment if you like and/or want to participate (or pitch ideas here in the comments).

A brand new location-aware app called echoecho promises to make it easy to share your location with people you trust. You can “echo” someone from your existing address book, and if they have the app installed, they receive a push notification and can tap the screen to respond with their current location.
[Via Lost Remote, they are really picking up steam with Local/Social news]

A port of Twitter-async for Foursquare. This is a high performance wrapper for Foursquare’s basic and OAuth API which provides parallel/asynchronous calls.
I am looking for a few developers to test the beta release of the Praized 2.0 API in early February (with checkins to place, aka foursquare/gowalla). If you are interested contact me (and join the mailinglist). Documentation for version 1 is available on Google code (you need to request an API key).
This is actually a checkout, weekend FTW (@ Praized HQ)
